    Field Codes (Word 2000)

    Is there a code that you can reference a date and have it add 1 year? There is a date field at the top of the document and at the bottom of the document it reads "Your contract expires _____" That is where I want the one year to the date to show.

    I have done something similar by inserting a one-cell Excel spreadsheet in the document with the appropriate formula in it.

    You could do this with two fields:

    Assuming your date format is January 26, 2002:

    { CREATEDATE @ "MMMM d" }, { = 1 + { CREATEDATE @ "yyyy" } }

    For more on fields follow the links at <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Fields> Word Web Resources - Fields</A> (addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm) especially Cindy Meister's series of articles.
