SR-1a (O2K)

    Hiya-

Does the SR-1a force you to save files to disk before opening/running them? I don't remember having to do this before with this SR.

    Thanks

Yes, Outlook 2000 SR-1/1a checks the file extension and, if it is on the unsafe list, will not let you launch it from the message. You can override the default behavior by customizing the list: XCLN: How to Modify the Behavior of the Attachment Security Warning in Outlook 2000 SR-1 (Q259514).

Note: this is a completely different behavior than the SR-2 behavior, which cannot be overridden in Outlook 2000.

Thanks...I don't understand why I never had any prompts or whatever before when I've installed SR-1a. It seems like it's changed, even the setup screens, etc., look different.
