    Worksheet protection (MS Office/Excel 2000)

I have had a need recently to revisit some old spread sheets that I wrote for various bookkeeping chores, and I can not for the life of me, remember the passwords that I used to protect the worksheet - not the logon password. Is there a way to bypass this or to discover what the passwords are?? Can redo them but would really rather not have to take the time to redo them - modifying them would be more appealing. Thanks in advance for the help.

See if <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=xl&Number=19054&page=&view= &sb=&o=&vc=1>this thread</A> can help. You can try to find free password crackers on the web.
