Are you closing this window by using the X in the upper right corner? If so try closing using the menu "File, Close" and see if this will work. But also do not use the maximize button, drag the window to the size you want.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Dave,

Dragging the window to size is how I have been sizing it. I will try using the File Close and see if that works.

    Thanks.

    Re: Window sizing

Two things came to mind as I read this thread.

In Windows Explorer, under the Tools/Options menu, View tab, do you have the checkbox enabled for "Remember each folder's view settings"? Clearing that and then re-enabling it might help.

Another trick from my old days, don't recall where I learned this, was to hold down CTRL+ALT+SHIFT while closing the window using the "x" in the upper right corner. This is supposed to force the window to retain its settings when you close it (dimensions anyway).

    Re: Window sizing

I have tried everything recommended in this thread and still my windows revert to a small size even within the same session without rebooting. Any more suggestions?

    Re: Window sizing

I think this should solve the problem:
    1) Open the window and manually resize the window to your desired size.
Make sure you manually resize it.
    2) Then close the window with the X up on the Exp. Title Bar while holding down the
    Ctrl. button simultaneously.
When you reopen, it'll stay the size you specified.
Some of the other tips seem intersting. Haven't tried the alt keyboard combo. This has always worked
for me. I have a windows size problem with certain sites or more commonly if I play with the
window size. But this will always fix it for me.
Please let me know if helps you hlewton.
    Thanks,

    Ddram,

I will try this and I will definitely let you know if it works. So far nothing else has worked for me but I have not as yet downloaded MerCurmudgeon latest suggestion in a previous post.

    Thanks.

Have you tried checking the properties of the shortcut itself?
Setting it to Run: maximised might do the trick.

    Steve,

Yes I have and there is no option available for these WEB shortcuts that I see.

    Thanks.
