    Web toolbar (2000 SR-1)

Just a quicky - how do I stop the web toolbar coming up every time I click on a hyperlink? It may be fine for the web, but when I am following cross-references or navigating via the table of contents, its a royal PITA.

    Thanks.

    Stuart,

You can use a macro to keep it from reappearing - see <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/showthreaded.pl?Cat=&Board=wrd&Number=48245&page=& view=&sb=&o=&vc=1#Post48245>this post</A> and related thread for links.

If you don't want to use a macro, a simpler method is to use Customize to remove all of the controls from the web toolbar - that way, it may still apear, but shouldn't disrupt things - after doing this you can also drag it to some out of the way location and just ignore it at that point.

    Hi Stuart,

There are several solutions. See <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.addbalance.com/word/webtoolbar.htm> How to Get Rid of the Web Toolbar</A>.
