Windows Media Player 7.1 for Windows XP

Here's a good one. Hope someone can help. I have Windows Media player selected as my default player over Real Player, WinAmp, etc. Today I received an email from Music Match Jukebox(I have Music Match Jukebox too) showing new songs by Paul McCartney, etc. The emails says click on the title of the song (Vanilla Sky) for a preview of the song. Windows Media opens it up and I get a message that says "I do not have digital rights" to play this song." So I click on a few places to get the digital rights (why do I need it it's only a preview of the song like you can get on CDNOW.com and it asks me to pay a fee. EXCUSE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone know why this is happening? It doesn't happen in Windows 98SE on my other computer? Hope someone can tell me.

Also to get help from Microsoft they want $35.00 for phone support and they say to call the computer manufacturer because the computer came bundled with IE and Windows Media player. Is this true? I thought that Windows Media is a "part" of Internet Explorer. I don't think the computer manufacturer will help. Any thoughts on this anyone?
    Thanks.

    "Hope someone can tell me."
Windows now became smarter and competition stronger. That means Microsoft doesn't want you to use his MediaPlayer to listen to the music from MusicMatch and vice versa. Workaround is: righit-click the link in your e-mail and choose Properties, then copy URL (i.e. http://...). Then open your MusicMatch Jukebox and in Open dialog box, paste this URL.

    "Is this true?"
I am afraid this is true. And the only free advice from your computer manufacturer will be "Insert your Recovery CD and reboot your computer".

    Have fun.

Presumably the link you referred to in your first post ("...click on the title...")
