    Hi.

    Hi, Roger
Try exporting your settings from Outlook Express to Outlook. If you're using Yahoo, there has been a recent change in the required setting. Make sur that in Outlook the box "Server requires authentication" is checked.

Interesting, I am having the same problems and am running Office XP, on Windows 2000 Professional, I am experiencing problems ONLY on send, and it will show up as an event log item in my application log. Everything else appears to be normal. I send to say if this is happening on two differing operating systems, it's "Outlook".

Yeah--I'll accept that it's Outlook. In my case, the behavior has largely disappeared, altho I leave my details window visible so when I get a screw-up I can try to figure out whether it's my net conection or Outlook itself that is casuing the mail problem. Aside from lots of uninstalls and reinstalls, it seems to have largely corrected itself--and I don't know that I had much to do with it. I wish I had--as I'd be DELIGHTED to share the solution with the WORLD.

Now today, Outlook kept changing the 'focus' window, so when I was trying to author an email, the main page would suddenly reassert itself in the foreground, and I then had to re-find the page that I was writing on so that I could resume my typing...
