    Links (EXcel 2000 SP2)

I am linking a number of workbooks together, when I link a file as an object it includes the full path in the formula bar e.g. =Excel.Sheet.5|'CataExcelatl & dr build.xls'!''''. Is there anyway I can link without including the full path?

    Regards

    John

    Re: Links (EXcel 2000 SP2)

Actually I think that as long as the files are colocated in the same directory, Excel keeps relative link paths internally. Only when you close a linked workbook is the full path displayed. However, if you move the book, then Excel expects the colocated-linked files to be moved also, ie that they stay in the same directory. HTH --Sam
