Custom Colour Palettes (Excel 97 SR2)

I'm trying to create a custom palette for some work that needs specific RGB references for various publications. So far I have set up a template with the colour codes added to it and have to import these references using the Tools-->Options, color tab and then copied the colours from this template into the new one. I set up a macro to do this, but boy what a crock. Is there an easier way? Can I just customise the palette and it stays as default for all open workbooks?

Create a new workbook with the palette the way you want it. Save this workbook in your XLStart directory as a template with the name Book.xlt. All new workbooks should now use this palette. Unfortunately, I don't think it will affect existing workbooks.
