Music (97-SR1)

I want to play a CD during my presentation so I did insert, movies and sounds, play CD audio track. I did this on the first slide but it won't continue to play throughout the presentation. I went to Custom Animation and clicked Play Using animation order, While playing: Continue slide show, and stop playing after slide 61, the last slide. Do you know what I could be doing wrong? It still won't play after the first slide.
    Thanks.

Thanks, it's working now. Those links helped. Now I just want to know how to record the sound so that the CD doesn't have to be in the CD ROM. I want to burn a copy of the presentation and have the music file as part of it. How is this done? Thanks.

This is right on the edge of my understanding, so it could be rubbish but, bearing that in mind, here' s how I would start.

Save the cd/track/tracks as .wav files (Warning - 10Mb requ'd for 1 minute sound!)

Package the whole thing together using File | Pack and Go, and use the wizard to include the .wav files.[[/list]HTH (and is correct!)

Just a reminder to be careful of copyright laws. In '97 there was a cool "Custom Soundtrack" feature you could use to avoid issues like this. I'm told XP has something like this, but I don't know. There are also some third party programs that allow you to create custom sound tracks rather reasonably.

Here's one link for a program I use:

    Re: Music (XP)

I've been trying to find the custom soundtrack feature without any luck. I don't think they've included it in XP. Darn!

    Re: Music (XP)

PP'97 (this was a while ago, so forgive if I'm vague) It wasn't installed as part of the standard load. You had to go back to the install CD. I don't remember where it was, but it was like a seperate feature folder or such. It might have been in the install/don't install pull-downs.

Anywho...It was called; install: "Custom Soundtrack". After installation it showed up under your SlideShow menu. Hope this helped!
