    Forced to Drive A:

    I have a new PC with Windows ME running (not my choice). Each time I use the windows explorer, either to find a file or access a file on the desktop, the system tries to access drive a: and asks me to put a disk in the drive. Is there a way to turn off automatic access to dive a:?

    You probably have something in your system's search path that refers to drive a: - there is no cure-all, quick fix, this will take a bit of research on your part to resolve. The good news is that there was <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.langa.com/newsletters/1999/May-17-99.htm>a great series of articles by Fred Langa</A> with the topic "Puka Puka". Yes, you read that right!
