    Access Hotmail account within OL2000

I read a post a while back and it said that you cannot receive Hotmail mail from within Outlook. This is true, however you can create a folder so you can look at your web based email from within Outlook. Here are the steps:

    1. Create a folder
    2. Right-click on the folder and select properties
    3. On the Home Page tab type in the full URL of your web based email service, (http://www.hotmail.com/)
    4. Check the Show Home Page by default for this folder box

That's it. Click on the folder and Outlook then acts like a web browser and lets you look at your mail. I hope some will find this useful.

There's another way to do this if you're using the Outlook bar. Open the Hotmail loging page in Internet Explorer, restore the window so that you can see the Outlook bar, and simply drag the icon from the IE address window to the Outlook bar.
