    Email address problems? (2000/9.0.0.2711)

Recently, when a contact gives me a new address and I make the changes, the recipients are still receiving the email at the old address. I see no evidence of the old address in the contacts list, nor the address book.

    Any ideas?

locate and delete *.nick file. the old address is cached in that file.

    MJ,

Would you confirm this is the file: Microsoft Outlook Internet Settings.NICK

Why has this never been a problem previously and will this solve the problem for all the addresses and future address changes?

    Thanks.

yes, that is the correct file. it'll solve the problem for now - but you may need to delete it again in a few months of you notice this happening. it holds a list of previously resolved names and gets rebuilt.
