    Service Packs

I know Woody talks about this a lot in his newsletters, but I just want to be clear. He has suggested that we steer clear of Office 2000 SP2 and stick with SP1. Is Windows 2000 SP2 recommended? Any thoughts?

    Re: Service Packs

I don't know that Woody has ever said yay or nay on this topic, but I can tell you that SP2 for Windows 2000 is stable, mature, and comes highly recommended froma lot of folks. I've been using it since the time of its release and have been very satisfied with it. Some users have even reported a performance increase, probably due to the fact that it enables UDMA 66 by default.

Certainly, none of the nasty surprises that Office 2000 SP2 included.
