Unexpected Critical Error

I've installed office2000pro, then I installed MSProject being administrator. Afterwords I logon as simple end user and the usersettings are runned. When the usersettings from office2000Pro are runned, I get this message "OFF2000:"Unexpected Critical Error" Installing Office 2000" I found PSS ID Number Q230905 on the microsoft support site and in the Technet Notes januari, but the suggested sollution, running mse /setup doesn't work, even with being the installer and administrator. Can anyone help me on this.

Re: Unexpected Critical Error

My first suggestion would be to log in as administrator again, and install all office components so that there is no need for install-on-demand. Great idea in theory but in practice, I think it needs help...

Problem is that it is supposed to be a silent setup
And to be used in mass rollouts.
But tnx anyway for answering my question.

When you install Project as Administrator and want it to be available for other users, you have to run Setup from Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs (as any other Office products).

Re: Unexpected Critical Error

I left the subject as unresolved. You cannot run setup everytime from Control Panel with a SILENT SETUP. And I cannot expect from the client that he does that himself. That's not exactly what I would call service.
So I made my script and when running the user settings of office2000, the responsible installer will click "OK" before the pc is handed to the client. Problem is in Office 2000 not in Project2000 itself.
It 's sad that a firm like Microsoft cannot give a good sollution or a working work around for there own problems.
