    Those _vti_cnf directories (V4.0.2.4426 SR-1)

We've been doing some mass changes lately to our internal web (changing links en-mass), and ran into this - although FrontPage doesn't display them in the folder list, there are _vti_cnf directories everywhere, and they contain thousands of references to our development server, where the web/subwebs are published from.

    Is this normal?

I've done a search and didn't find any past posts that explain these, although they're mentioned.

    Thanks for the help!

    Yes.
These files are created automatically by FP and are used to maintain links among other things.
Clear as mud? Or do you have a particular question?
