    Outlook woes (Outlook 2000)

    Here's the prob:
    heeeelp...

Every time I try to add or change info in my contacts, Outlook completely freezes. It specifically seems to be happening whe I go to add or change phone numbers. When I ctrl+alt+del to shut down Outlook, it always says that something by the name of Tapisrv is "not responding." It started doing this a couple of days ago, and my hoping it would go away hasn't worked. Any thoughts as to causes/solutions?

It sounds like Outlook is interpreting your edit as an instruction to dial the number - TAPI = Telephony Application Programming Interface.
A wild guess would be you are on W2K and have installed the Winfax option...? If so, make sure the modem properties in Winfax are not set to TAPI.
