    Help files (Excel 97)

Which software would I use to write Windows Help files that can be accessed from within an Excel Add-In? Thanks.

There are many that can do the job pretty well. It all depends on how much you want to spend and how much sophistication you need.

You can get an evaluation copy of ComponentOne Doc-To-Help 6.0 from http:// home.componentone.com/cmd.boa?download=Evaluations&key=ComponentOne+Doc-To-Help and you can check Windows

I think you can still download (free of charge) microsofts WINHELP Workshop. See . Also have a look at <A target="_blank" HREF=http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/htmlhelp/html/vsconHH1Start.asp> this site. Actually you can make the traditional help file, which can still be used in xl97 without upgrading OCX's if you still running Win95; but you can also make real HTML helpfiles.
