    XP and System Works

I have WIN 98 and XP set up on a dual boot system. I then installed Norton System Works and had it install on drive D - where WIN XP resides. When I open WIN 98 SE, I do not see any NAV protection in place. Using Windows Explorer, I navigated to NMAIN.EXE but could not get Norton System Works to open when I was in drive C using WIN 98 SE. Is NAV working and protecting my system when I am using WIN 98 SE from drive C? Do I need to change some settings??

Run Norton setup on each OS partition, when each is booted.

jimvan's right. You do not want to run the NSW that you installed under XP on the 98 partition and vice versa. If you do you can screw things up royally because NSW's setup will install different versions of the utilities depending which OS it is installed under.

Make sure you exclude C: from NSW tests/repairs when running it under XP; and, if you installed XP on a FAT32 partition exclude D: from tests/repairs when running Win98.
