    Some keys not working...

    Hi,

Some of the keys on my Win98 laptop have stopped working rather suddenly!
    Can't see any mechanical problem.

    Pls. suggest a solution!
    I'm suspecting a virus, but I have Norton's AV.

    Thanks,

    m.q.

Why do you suspect a virus? If you do, search the Anti-Virus sites for information.

Is there any pattern to the keys that do not work? - i.e. are they all on the same row?
    How old is the laptop?

    Re: Some keys not working...

    Cheers,

I suspected a virus 'cause it was so sudden & there's no visible mechanical problem.
Plus it's lots of keys spread out like Esc, d, delete etc.

Can you pls. give me good AntiVirus URLs where I can search?
The laptop is not more 2/3 years old, HP - generally ok.

Update - I just tried using it now & it's ok - but wasn't working just yesterday!
Wierd stuff - and I shut down & rebooted 3 times to no avail...

    Regards,
