    HYPERLINK character limit (2000)

I want to use the hyperlink function to create a column of web links based on the contents of a column of formula cells. But, the web link is >300 characters and =hyperlink is giving me #value! at 256 characters. Any ideas how I can work around this? I'd like to avoid using VBA if this can be done without it.

    Hi Richard

Try VBA and see if you can bypass this limit.

    Wassim <img src=/S/compute.gif border=0 alt=compute width=40 height=20>
    <img src=/S/compute.gif border=0 alt=compute width=40 height=20> in the <img src=/S/bagged.gif border=0 alt=bagged width=22 height=22>

Build the Link-Location argument in an intermediate cell?
