    Parameters (97)

    Parameters
If you specify a parameter in a query, can an expression in the query refer to the value that was entered? Please advise.

It depends. If you want a calculated field that includes the value entered as the parameter, you repeat the parameter in that expression. Access only prompts you for the same parameter once, but it uses it anywhere you have inserted the parameter into an expression.

In other words, you have a parameter in the criteria line something like this: [Enter start date]

You can also create an expression like this: [MyDate]> [Enter start date]
    Charlotte
