HTML format and text (Outlook 2000 SR-1 (9.0.0.4527))

I use HTML exclusively as my Mail Format but when ever I want to past text into the new mail message the lines separate with a blank line between each. I usually use other software like notepad or emailStripper to remove any formatting then past it into the body but that takes several steps. Is there any setting I may have missed which will change the body of an HTML message to accept text without the extra line or work?

Don't know if your circumstances are identical, but try locating the formatting toolbar. Highlight the text in question, select the style that you wish (e.g. "Normal"), insert your cursor in the style list box and then hit Enter. This works for similar-sounding problems with me. HTH
