    WinFAX Pro

Interesting article that Woody wrote the other day about WinFAX Pro 10.02. The problem appears to be that WinFAX Pro 10.0 is not compatible with WinXP and Symantec is charging $49.95 to upgrade....$49.95 being the price of the new product anyway. Shame on you, Symantec!!

However, I've been using WinFAX Pro 10.0 for at least 2 years and it went into XP just fine and is my mainstay FAX system. Now I'm wondering if I'm living on borrowed time, just waiting for it to crash....Probably when I'm out and waiting for an important FAX.

What sort of problems have people encountered with WinFAX Pro 10.0 on WinXP anyway? Just wondering.

    Bob,
I had the same experience as you, WinFax Pro 10.0 is working just fine for me, as well. Could it be that when registering the product, they gave the ACTUAL purchase date? <img src=/S/bummer.gif border=0 alt=bummer width=15 height=15> If so, they woudln't have access to updates that might cure XP ills.

Who knows with an outfit like Symantec. In times past we would have expected that an update that is listed in the second decimal place would have been free, or certainly at a very minimal cost.

Maybe their just getting too cozy with Bill...

    Re: WinFAX Pro

Any updates with using WinFax 10 in Windows XP Professional - and not upgrading to 10.02? I've been using it in XP as well with no problems so far. My users are going to Windows XP Professional next spring and I'm not geared to pay $49.95 x 1150 seats = !!!Lot's of money!!!

Symantec is not offering any deals. I am going with 10.0 because out of the entire suite we use just the Fax component.
