    MS Word tmp files (97)

Hi! I'm having a problem with Word97 tmp files on our network. We have WIN98 clients. When I try to delete them from the NT server, even when logged in as admin, I recieve a sharing violation. This is annoying to say the least. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi
Could it be they are created by open files from some application still running ?
    Cheers

When Word crashes, it leaves behind temp files & often leaves winword.exe running (you can see it under Ctrl+Alt+Del). End task on Winword, but you may also need to reboot.

Maybe you can clear the "in use" flag on the files in Server Manager?
