Saving Lotus as Excel (Excel 2000)

    Hi,

Trying to save a Lotus (wk4) file as Excel. Original lotus file is 8mb in size - new Excel file is 80Mb in size.

I remember many months ago a colleague mentioned that excel saves blank cells with additional info - thus accounting for the huge size increase.

Does anyone have any solutions to reducing the size of this file?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Andrew

Delete all rows below the last one you know contains info and all columns to the right of that spot. Then save.

    Thanks for that!

Took a while - but got there eventually.
