Kurt, can you elaborate on this a little more? Just what exactly are you trying to do?

    Thanks!

Re: How to attached combo box to input/msg box....plzz

    hi there,

it was like this..assume i have 3 sheets
in my w/book. i have the button print. when
i click the button print, a msg/input box will
appear with combo boxes attached to it(i'm sure
it is not userform). on the msg/input box, there are
3 combo boxes.1st is to choose which sheet should
be printed, 2nd combobox is to choose which page
in that page should printed, n the 3rd combobox
is to choose how many pages should be printed. after
that u will click the button 'ok' to run all the macro
that u have choosen or click 'cancel' button to cancel
your operation. the 'ok' and and 'cancel' button also
attached to the msg/input box..any ideas how its done
and what is the macro to run this routine.thanks a zillion..

Hmm... this was done in Excel? I'm sure it can be setup in Access fairly simply..

The only method I can think of in Excel is to setup a userform to call a macro: To my knowledge, the MSGBOX command doesn't provide the ability to add combo-boxes to query the data. Just setup three comboboxes with the data you would like, I.E. worksheet names, ranges, etc. Assign two buttons, name one 'Okay,' the other 'Cancel.' You can specify the parameters for your combo boxes in a seperate sheet, and hide it if you'd like.

When OK is clicked, call the macro to print the parameters selected, (or all if none) or exit sub on cancel.

    Hope this helps!

yup..i'm very sure it was done using
    excel97..n using the comboboxes are
attched to whether to msgbox or input
    box..n not to a userform..its amazed me..
n it can combined 3 comboboxes all together..
    any ideas?

It seems to me there aren't any parameters in the msgbox function:

    From VBA Helpfile:
Function MsgBox(Prompt, [Buttons As VbMsgBoxStyle = vbOKOnly], [Title], [HelpFile], [Context]) As VbMsgBoxResult

    Anyone Else? [img]/w3timages/icons/thinks.gif[/img]

    Kurt,

Sounds like it should be a userform- I can't see another way

Could the message box be on a spreadsheet with formatting to make it seem like part of the message box and the combo boxes are on the spreadsheet? This might be done in a macro by making the combo boxes normally invisible. When the macro is called it makes them visible.

But . . . why bother when you could use a userform?
