    Filter list limits (2000 SR-1)

I have noticed that when I auto-filter a list of several thousand items, only the first 1000 items in the list are held in the drop-down list. This is leading to problems when trying to work on a filtered list.

Any ideas or is it a "feature"?

It is a known "feature", and I don't think much can be done about it.

If you know the value you are trying to filter, you can use the Custom criteria option.

Sorry, but thats th ebest I can do for you.

Maybe somebody else has found a better solution.

Redmond calls this a "design limitation" and it's 1000 as you noted. There's no workaround, but you can use the custom selection and manually enter the number that you want and the filter works. --Sam
