    D: drive, anyone?

BIOS shows my D: drive with the model name but it doesn't appear on My Computer nor Device Mgr. Does the CD-ROM driver need to be loaded so that Windows will recognize it <img src=/S/question.gif border=0 alt=question width=15 height=15> <img src=/S/question.gif border=0 alt=question width=15 height=15>

...so it's a CD-ROM drive, yes? Which OS are you using?

Have you checked the jumpers on both the new drive and the existing C:?

If that's OK, is the drive on the same IDE cable as C:?
