I have installed the XP Recovery Console on my XP Home system. It appears on the boot menu, but when I select it, it works a while and then asks for the administrator password. I have not set up passwords on my system as I am the only user and it is a home PC. My personal user account is set up as administrator, but again, does not have a password assigned. I thought perhaps if I assigned a password to my user account that would solve the problem, but again, when entering that password, it is rejected, and after three failures reboots. On my Win2K system I use at work I can see the administrator account and control its password. The Administrator account is not to be found in the control panel/user accounts option. Any suggestions as to what I am missing here?
