    Generally speaking, it is not. The problem is: characters in ASCII files don't hold their absolute positions on the screen, but relative positions only. If you ever try to create a "table" in Notepad and then open it, say, in Word, you'll know what I'm talking about.

    However, it is possible to create something like bar chart using, for example, characters 23 and 24. It will look like this:

    ↨ ↨ ↨
    ↨ ↨ ↨ ↨

    (first bar is one character high, second is two characters high etc.) Look at the picture above: I created it in Notepad and then copy and paste here. If you see a soup of characters, that is the answer for your question.
