    Import/Export Public Folrders (Outlook2000/Exchange 5.5)

To my surprise, I find I am unable to import to or export from public folders (and I have Owner permissions!).
When I get the list of folders to import to (or from) the Public Folders are just not there for me to select (the mailbox and all *.pst's are).
Is there any way to go around it? (Except for copying to a personal folder and exporting from there)

    Thanks for your help.

no, you can't import and export to PF. You can drag and drop to a pst though.

Thanks for your answer, though it is definitely not what I wanted to hear. I was hoping for some sort of "switch" in the Exchange Server that will enable this. But I guess one doesn't always get what one wants...

Depending on how big a deal this is, you may want to consider a 3rd party tool. In Touch Software has a cool access utility that can read and write between MAPI and ODBC data sources. It's called OAXfer. We use it to populate and maintain various public folders from a number of data sources. Works great! See www.intouchsoftware.com.
