    Duplicate Personal Folders

When viewing folders there are two folders for the single Personal Folder file. Any new info posted to an active page immediately shows up in both of them and I cannot delete either of them. In a sense it doesn't matter, but it always makes me nervous when software does this sort of thing.
    Thanks in advance.

Exit Outlook. Open the Mail (may be called Mail and FAX) applet in Control Panel. Select the Show Profiles button and select your profile, then the Properties button. How many instances of Personal Folders do you have listed?

There is no "Show Profiles" choice at that level.
There is simply my single ISP connection info and the Properties and other buttons related to its maintinence. (Win98 and Office2K version of Outlook)

your in imo mode. you don't have profiles.

you need ot edit the registry and delete the ghost psts. it's in the windows messaging subsystem. each pst has two entries, the ghost pst will only have one entry.

they may come back, if so delete the profile key in the registry and start over.
