    Web Page Display Error (IE 6.0.2600)

    I have been using IE 6.0 with Win98SE for some time now with no problems at all. Recently, however, all of a sudden, I very frequently get an error message when I visit random web pages that says: "Problems with this Web page might prevent it from being displayed properly or functioning properly...." Would appreciate any ideas on why this is happening all of a sudden and how I can correct the problem. Thanks.

    Well, it may just be the fault of the web page you are veiwing. But you really don't want to be notified of their errors. Try this first:

    Tools|Internet Options|Advanced tab. Look for checks in the following boxes;

    [ ] Display a notification about every script error
    [ ] Show friendly HTTP error messages

    You don't want checks in either of those.

    Then, if you could post a link to a page that gives you that warning, it would make our job easier.

    Thanks for the reply. Because of the sudden appearance of this problem and the wide variety of web pages where this happens, I was wondering if the problem could be in my IE or scripting software.
