    Outline Formats

Is there any way to set the Outline default font/formats?

    My thanks in advance

The formats are those used in the styles (Heading1, Heading2 etc) which are applied. If you go into format styles and change them and make sure the "Update template" box is ticked they will apply as defaults in the future.

Thanks, I'm tired of doing that over and over. I'll make sure that box is always checked.

Just a note of caution - it's probably better to leave that box unchecked as a default, and only turn it on specifically when you need it (and then turn it off again).

The better working practice is to make any needed changes to the template, in the template itself. While being able to add changes back to the template, directly from the document, is a convenience, it can cause all kinds of confusion if overused or applied unintentionally (as may be the case if you leave the box checked by default).
