Sync Outlook to Laptos (Outlook 2000)

Is there a way to sync Outlook 2000 contact, calendar, and task information between my desktop computer and my laptop? I know there is a way to do this with Microsoft Exchnage. I was hoping there was an easier way. Please help! Shane

Are you set up as corporate or internet?

If internet, we've found the best bet is to use a pda as the intermediary. Even that's not foolproof.

If corporate, then my poor mind doesn't understand the requirement. If the two systems access the same account they should have the same items.

Are you on a network? If you are, it sounds like you're keeping your *.pst file on the hard drive in both cases. A suggestion would be to keep it on a network drive (also enables regular backups ). Then the sync issue only arises when you take your laptop on the road. In that case, you could copy the *.pst file onto the laptop hard drive and then sync it back when you return. (When Outlook can't find your *.pst file in its last known location, it pops up a dialog box asking you to nominate an alternative. This is what would happen each first time you used your laptop on the road.) HTH
