    Task Pane / Open a document (2002 SP-1)

No longer have list of recent documents under 'Open a document'. m Went thru Tools/Options/General and found 'Recently used files list' checkbox greyed out and same with 'entries' box. How to correct? Thanks.

If you are working on a network, one possibility is that an adminstrator has enforced this setting via an Office Policy. Some network people like to turn off the MRU lists as it supposedly adds overhead (which I think is silly).

Thanks Gary but not a network. Never altered any settings and situation occurred 'overnight'.

    Phil-
Many thanks to you and Chris Green (Post #120190) for the clue. I recently had 'played' with Tweak. Problem corrected.
