Streamlining Mail Merge (Wd 2002) (SR-1)

In Word 97, I could complete a merge in 5 keystrokes, Tools - Merge - Enter (3x). In Word 2002, Tools - Merge is gone, and a moronic Task Pane comes up, requiring inefficent clicking through numerous sub-panes before you finally get to merge the bloody thing. Is there a quick way to tell Word 2002 to just do the merge? Thanks in advance for any help with this.

    Hi
    I ignore the task pane

Just use the merge tool bar and customise it to include the old insert merge field button.

    This is progress,
Try and print the datasource if you ahve created with word wizard. Ughhh
    Cheers

    Thanks Geof,
Progress indeed. In line with customizing the merge tool bar, I realized I could customize the Tools menu to put back the Merge command.
    Cheers, Carol
