    DMax (97)

OK..what in the world have I done wrong this time....lol

I want to retrieve the highest number in a list so I created a totals query and in the appropriate field chose DMax....fine...until the list goes past 999. At this time the highest number is 1541, but the DMax only returns 999, WHY?

    Thanks,

    Hi Roberta,
Can you post the SQL for your query? It may help in tracking down the problem.
Is the field you're retrieving definitely a numeric field not a text field? (In a text field 1541 would be 'less than' 999)
