    EXL97: printing comments

Is it possible to print the comments in the worksheet?

    Hi Patrick,
If you go into Page Setup, on the Sheet tab there's a dropdown box called Comments (at least in Excel 2000, can't remember if it's there in 97) and you can choose 'None, 'at end of sheet' or 'as displayed on sheet'.
    Hope that helps.

    Thanks,
It worked, I just didn't look good enough (I expected this options in the print dialogbox and not in the page setup)

One of the other things I've learned about printing comments is that you may want to print them in portrait mode. Most comments are short and landscape mode is a bit of a waste. Problem is, from I've seen, is that you can NOT print just the comments (unlike Word for example).

What I do is go to print preview and see what pages (eg, 1-5) contain my worksheets and print only those pages in landscape mode (the "normal" mode for worksheets). This choice is also in Page Setup.

After I've printed my worksheets, I go into page setup and change the orientation to portrait. I then check to see what pages my comments are on. Bcs of the change in orientation to portrait, your worksheet may now cover pages 1-8. So I start printing at page 9 to the end to get just the comments in portrait mode.
