    W2000 Startup Window Woes

I have a Windows 2000 operating system on my laptop, and each and everytime I boot up and get to my desktop the System32 folder is maximized on my desktop. I've checked my Startup options in msconfig, and see nothing there that would make it open on every windows startup. Could you help me on this? Its driving me nuts as to why it is open and maximized without me asking it to be.
    Thanks so much,
