    Lock-out other users (Outlook 97)

    When opening Outlook 97 on my NT4.0 workstation, Outlook asks me to choose a profile first. I always accept the default which is "Microsoft Outlook", then I am asked to type in the password for "outlook.pst." This is great and it works fine. The problem is, I forgot how I set this up and now I have been asked to set up another person's workstation so no one else can access her email. Any sugesstions on how I can do this?

    Hi. I have only used Outlook 97 occasionally. You could try having the new user right click on the new .pst file and choosing Properties. There should be an option there to change/create a Password - possibly under "Advanced". HTH

    This might have moved, and it might not be necessary, but... in Outlook 2000, you force the prompting here:
