I would like to "downgrade" from IE 6.0 to 5.5 whereas my ADSL service provider does not support 6.0 on me machines. 6.0 is constantly hesitating upon logon. I am using Outlook Express 6.0 with no problems at all. Can I download the 5.5 service pack or do I need to uninstall 6.0 altogether and where can I download 5.5? Thanks for you help:-)

It is somewhat challenging to 'downgrade' IE. I have never done it, but I suspect you must uninstall IE6 first and then reinstall IE5. Otherwise, the .dll's and supporting files will be kept at the IE6 level and they may not play together well with IE5...

If I remember correctly, when I downgraded from 6.0 to 5.5, I was presented with the option to "Revert to previous version" when I tried to uninstall 6.0. This seemed to work quite well (thus far).
