Protect areas in Word document (Word 2000)

I need to create a brochure in Word that has areas protected. The areas protected will be blocks of text. It will not be the entire brochure, just some sections. The brochure is a tri-fold. Can this be done?

    Thank you!

    How protected is protected enough?

You could put the text that is to be protected into a separate document with bookmarks and use INCLUDETEXT fields to import it into your brochure.

The thing is that protected text is normally in separate Word "sections" but a section cannot be in a column.

Another alternative would be to set your text up in one document the way you want it, copy it, and paste it using paste special. Paste it as a picture.

None of these things really keep someone from changing things, they just make it harder.
