    Connect to internet

I am using an older computer with the first windows 98. When trying to connect to AOL I can not make it happen. Working with AOL has not corrected the problem. Talking with another person I am told that I am missing a program or file which is part of windows 98 that will let me connect to the internet. What part or file am I missing and where can I find this file? Is it part of the first windows 98 or did it come out with the second idition of windows 98? If the file I need is on the windows 98 disk, how do I copy it to the computer without puting the whole windows 98 back on the system? Do not have the special code to reload windows 98 again as I have missed placed it.

    Re: Connect to internet

First things first. When you attempt to connect to AOL, what happens? Any error messages?

I don't know what would make you suspect that you are missing a file in Windows, although that's possible. The differences between 98 and 98SE were pretty superficial, SE has Internet Explorer 5, Internet Connection Sharing and a few other pieces of fluff, but is essentially the same.
