    Protect Folder

A friend needs to protect a certain folder on his standalone business PC, as I do not have access to any ME PC's I cannot answer his question.
Can you password protect a folder in ME, is so how? Or do you need a third party product?

    Re: Protect Folder

There is no native way to do it in Windows ME. Remember that all Windows 9x products are inherently insecure due to their DOS underpinnings.

That said, there is a nifty little 3rd party tool called Magic Folders that will do what you want.
