    footnote marker (2000)

Does anyone know how to get rid of the grey line that appears above footnotes? I'm pretty sure that it can be removed. Cheers.

In Normal View (View, Normal), choose View, Footnotes. The footnotes split window will open. <Click> the drop-down arrow to the right of where you see the default "All Footnotes" and select "Footnote Separator". You may then edit in the lower portion of the window to make the footnote separator anything you want, or nothing at all.
