Local network access triggers dial-up
Is this meant to happen? I have two W2000 machines networked together with TCP/IP. One of them (A) has a modem/dial-up connection. The other ( has IIS and is set up as a local Web server so I can try out constructing web sites etc. However, whenever I try to connect to the Web site on B from A, up pops my Dial-up connection dialog box. If I cancel it, I cannot connect to B. If I let it dial up, as soon as the connection to the Internet is established I can connect to B.
I looked for a setting which said something like " for the following IP addresses, stay on the local network, otherwise connect through the modem" but nothing seems to fit the bill. What have I missed?
