Memory Type

I have an Aptiva computer that can have a total of 64 MB RAM memory. Currently it has 32MB and has one open slot. Crucial says it takes a SDRAM 66 mhz, CL=2, non-parity chip. I have an extra 32 MB (168 pin) but not sure of the other specs. Is there any way to determine the other specs or is it OK to put it in to see if it will work.

If you already have an extra memory chip, put it in the empty slot and power on your computer. If BIOS will reject it, you're out of luck.
(If you insert the chip properly, you can not damage neither the chip nor the motherboard.)
