    Is it Recorded?

I'll try to keep it brief, but I doubt I can.

I have a userform which is being used to enter data to a worksheet. I am using the variable 'i' to specify which row the sheet is referring to. I have four buttons for Navigation, First, Previous, Next, Last. If the user enters information to the userform and presses one of these four buttons, thier data is lost. I have a 'Submit' button which takes the values from the userform and plugs them into the worksheet. My question is, is there any way to determine if row 'i' has been 'saved?' I was thinking of something like:

if Range("A" & i).value is null then msgbox("Item not Saved.")

But i'm having issues with the syntax, and can't figure out how to make it ignore this line if the user is simply navigating the form.

I hope that's clear enough, if you need more details, let me know!

    Thanks!

    Re: Is it Recorded?

Hard to know what you mean. But this maybe helpfull:

cells(i,1)would refer to row i column 1(ie A) which I think you are trying to do with the range command.

    so:

    if cells(i,1).value="" then
    xyz
    else
    abc
    end if

Put this inside another If..then..else statement to skip if navigating
